Nouveau directeur pour la Scuderia Ferrari

La Scuderia Ferrari change son directeur avant l’entame de 2015.
Avant même son arrivée au sein de la firme de Maranello en lieu et place de Stefano Dominicalli, nous savions que le place de Marco Mattiacci était provisoire. Finalement, l’Italien ne fera pas partie de la nouvelle aventure 2015 avec la Scuderia étant donné qu’il vient d’être remercié. Après avoir fait le ménage dans les rangs du constructeur italien en licenciant une partie des ingénieurs pour apporter un vent nouveau à la Scuderia Ferrari, Marco Mattiaci a donc dû cédé sa place au terme d’une saison compliquée mais avec le sentiment du devoir accompli, notamment en officialisant Sebastian Vettel pour les trois saisons à venir.
Le nom de son successeur ne s’est pas fait attendre. Marco Mattiaci sera remplacé par Maurizio Arrivabene qui occupera les mêmes fonctions que son prédécesseur. Pour justifier ce choix, Maranello affirme dans son communiqué qu’une page importante de son histoire est entrain de s’écrire et que l’écurie italienne a besoin de quelqu’un qui comprend non seulement le constructeur mais aussi les rouages de la gouvernance et les exigences de la Formule 1. Pour ceux dont le nom de Maurizio Arrivabene évoque peu de chose, sachez que l’Italien a été le vice-président du cigarettier Marlboro, et fait partie du giron Ferrari depuis 1997. Depuis 2010, il siège aux Commissions F1 et FIA en tant que représentant des sponsors.
